Yes. Under Ujjwala 2.0, the connection itself is FREE — the government covers the security deposit, pressure regulator, Suraksha hose, installation, plus a two-burner stove and the first refill. You only pay for regular refills after the first (minus the Rs.300 DBT subsidy).

Since June 2026, you get Rs.300 off per 14.2 kg cylinder for the FIRST 4 refills a year (9 till FY 2025-26; proportionately pro-rated for 5 kg). You pay the full price at delivery, and Rs.300 per refill is credited directly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). Link your bank account to Aadhaar FIRST — otherwise subsidy won't reach you.
